The end of one marks the beginning of another

One of my subject's coursework marks came out today i think...I scored pretty well for the assignment..which was a..surprise for me... =P Alhamdulillah...
It seems I'm still on track...

Like always, i slept the whole day today until I get sick of sleeping.. ^^ Afiq asked me something about blogs..and I replied his sms half asleep...XD I can't really remember what I typed...

Now finally Afiq has got a blog..His writings always have that colorful style which is fun to read..sometimes I wish I could be creative when writing..well...I'm still learning...

Okay now, to the main topic...

We have almost arrived at the end of 2008 (WOW! that's fast...I still can't grasp fully that 2008 is almost over) and will be welcoming 2009 in a good way or bad way...that's up to you...

Now, I'd like to think back what I've been through this year...some of it that is(what I can remember)...^^

First its my studies...to summarize, I'd say that I'm not really pleased with how i did in my studies so far in 2008... I often get sidetracked, didn't take studies seriously...so my result was just average.....luckily....

Then, this is also the first year that I finally got my scholarship...I can Rejoice!! ^^ Financially I'm secured for my studies...

Of course, last August was the first time I've ever went overseas! (apart from Indonesia & Brunei) My first trip to Perth...there, I had my first encounter in using the GPS system...and also the first time I get to teach Silat in ENGLISH....its actually harder than it seems...XD

I overcame my fear of driving around KL for the first time(sounded pathetic am I?) when I'd to sort of 'escort' Tidja and D.N during Chinese New Year this year...

There are a few performances I did this year...2 silat performances and some music performances(I don't remember) Also in July, I've had the most aggresive performance I've ever done on stage...during that performance, I get to get in touch with one of my 'almost long lost' friend, Izzah...Also performed in Monash's & VU's prom night...This sem I've done 2 acoustic performances...I actually sang(lead vocals... O_O)

I also came to possess a few significant gadgets this year...^^ First off is my PS3!! yes..its one of the delight in my life...My addiction to gaming is renewed thanks to this powerful gaming console...I played Metal Gear Solid 4 this year! Then, finally got my 1st guitar effects processor, BOSS GT-8(2nd hand of course)... and a cute little guitar amp, Roland Micro Cube...See the pics, you'll know what I meant by cute...
Owh...I'm forgetting my new laptop... ^^ I got my new Dell Inspiron 1420 with quite good specs during my birthday period...

This is how my guitar sounds like with my GT-8 and Roland Micro Cube...Pretty cool sound for a small amp.. ^^ the video is out of sync with its audio...don't mind it... =P

About my robots collections...I've bought a number of gundams...but only 1 transformers figure...Megatron from Transformers Animated series...not many gundams I've manage to complete this year, which leads to the large stocks of gundam kits which are still untouched waiting to be assembled...Looks like I'll never run out of gundam kits to assemble for the time being...

I've had my first photoshoot experience as I stated in my recent post.

Life's incomplete without a few drawbacks and unfortunate events...I've got my quite new external hard drive stolen...(was partly my mistake)...I hope whoever stole it are decent enough to delete all photos in there...there are family photos there...some Raya photos..birthday photos...etc...T_T...
Then, there's this problem with my previous house's landlord in Cyberjaya...where I had to finally move to MMU's hostel in a hurry...(there are bright side of moving to hostel though...except the circumstances I've faced when moving out of the house was...well...I think I'd rather live without it... ^^)

Okay....for now, that's all I can think of reflecting back on 2008...

Now facing forward towards the coming of 2009...

Of course the usual aim is to be a better person...
I'd like to improve on my studies...
Improve on my social relations...(I'm quite anti-social lately.. =S)
Improve on my religious duty....
Be better in handling money...(control my spending habits)
Exercise regularly(Keep FIT)
Have a whole lot of new collections for gundam collections..^^ (of course, this is a contradiction to the handling money part.. XD)

The more specific things I want to do in 2009...
1. Play Lord of the Rings Conquest
2. Play Resident Evil 5
3. Watch Dragonball Evolution
4. Watch Transformers 2 : Revenge Of The Fallen
5. Buy the coming PG Gundam Astray....(its expensive though....)

I'm sorry for those who i've said or do anything offensive...
I'm grateful to my awesome family...I'm sorry if I've ever been a problem child...

Last semester, a friend of mine asked me to be a model for her photography assignment..
She asked me to wear Silat uniforms & do Silat pose...so..why not? ^^
Luckily i had with me the yellow cloth to be used as a 'tengkolok'.

Assignments?

All assignments are DONE!...

All that's left for this semester is to STUDY... yes.. STUDY for the coming FINAL exam!

Will only have 3 days for exams...on the 5th, 6th and 9th of January...

And on the 10th, I'll be off back to Kuching!!! yes! yes!! yes!!!

Been dreaming of home lately I don't know why.. I think this is the first time I've dreamed of the same thing more than twice... =S

Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet(LBP) is a PS3 game released a while back..
This game caught my eye because of its high ratings..

Personally I don't actually know much about this game but after seeing videos of this game, it's beginning to appeal to me...But I'm not so sure on buying this game..
Until yesterday I saw a video of MGS4(Metal Gear Solid 4) pack for this game..
It's funny how they blend the characters from MGS4 into the world of LBP...









What I know about this game is that the world of LBP is created by collecting all the dreams and ideas of humans...So you are apparently exploring the world of imaginations in the game.. It gets pretty cool..You can do a lot of stuff and from what I see.. The game really tests the level of your creativity..And it looks fun to play especially when playing with friends..

Now I'm seriously am considering on buying this game for its many features and graphics.. But there's time factor that i have to consider as well.. This game will take so much of my time..my holiday period is so short and I might have other things to do other than spending all my holidays just for playing games..And also I might not have time to enjoy the game fully... =S

And then of course there is money factor as well.. XD...

There are a couple of other games that I've been thinking to buy as well...

No More Naruto Fansub??

Dattebayo : A fansub group that has been subbing Naruto for 4 years plus...

I had just read a recent post from their website.

They have been trolling to stop subbing Naruto for so many times just for the fun of it...

Now, it seems, unfortunately they are going to stop subbing Naruto for REAL... (Naruto Shippuuden to be exact..)
Effective from 15th of January 2009...

Reasons??

Apparently TV Tokyo has announced that it will begin STREAMING English subtitled Naruto Shippuuden through Crunchyroll..The subbed show will air approximately an hour after the actual show airs in Japan..

Unfortunately this service will NOT be free.. Users will have to subscribe and there will be a small FEE to STREAM each episodes... The episode will be FREE after 7 days though...

Viz Media will also STREAM the latest Naruto Shippuuden episodes a week after its airtime in Japan starting on 15th January...

Imagine streaming Naruto episodes from Kuching???? How slow can it bee...
plus.... How about the quality??? What if the subtitles SUCKS!??
As it usually is with official release DVDs for animes... the subtitles are ALWAYS INACCURATE~ T_T

I'm sure the quality for streaming will not be as good as downloaded ones...

I'm going to have to say bye-bye to Dattebayo's sub for Naruto Shippuuden real soon.. T_T

Not really complete but..the guitar parts are more or less complete...
Music is not so much a problem for me to make...

Owh man..I tried writing the lyrics...but nothing came out.. T_T...
Writing has always been a problem for me...
Everytime I sit down and trying to write,...my head goes blank...
I'm hoping to break that 'barrier' and can start writing lyrics for my songs...

hrmm...better luck next time i guess...

Resident Evil: Degeneration

Resident Evil 5 is yet to be released. 2 days ago I've discovered this movie. Resident Evil: Degeneration. It's a CG movie developed by Capcom.

Unlike the previous trilogy movie, this one is set in the same world as the original game.

Events in this movie is taking place 7 years after Racoon City incident. About 3 years after Leon's encounter with the Las Plagas(Resident Evil 4).

These are the two familiar characters(for those who played the game) that appear in the movie...

Leon S. Kennedy

His attire is the same as during Resident Evil 4 game. Apparently, he is still a special agent working directly under the President.

As cool as he can be...^^




Claire Redfield


She's cute...^^ I like!!




And she still kicks ass!!!



Unfortunately she doesn't get too much action in this movie...

And there is also an appearance of them from 7 years ago(a flashback)




They're in their Resident Evil 2 attire...how nostalgic.. ^^

Owh...this time, they are facing the T & G virus again.. Not the Las Plagas.
There is not much I can say about the story. It's not great, just a typical Resident Evil story. A few cheesy moments where Leon is wayyy too cool... I think they can do better with the storyline but as I'm a fan of the RE series since long ago...I can't help but being excited about this movie no matter how it turned out...^^
Plus, Claire is cute... XD.... I said that twice already...

It'll be fun to watch this movie with fans of RE games.. I bet Afiq & Trah will like this one too... =P

Okay.. I wouldn't want too spoil too much here..

Lost to Temptation...

Transformers Animated(TA) - The latest animation of the transformers series. At first, I was disappointed with the designs of this particular transformers series. The design seemed too 'cartoon network-ish' to me. You know, the 'big torso, small legs' type of design. Typical cartoon network's cartoon design.

Despite the design, I watched the show just for the sake of Transformers... ^^
Then, I started thinking, "Hey, the story's not bad." So, I followed the series from there on. The more i watch, the design of Megatron's beginning to appeal to me.

I still don't like Optimus Prime's design though. He looked like Johnny Bravo.... =S
Megatron's a different matter. The proportion of Megatron's body seemed OK to me. He looked wicked enough to be the leader of the Decepticon. Also, he is designed closely resemble Generation 1's Megatron, which is great.

Yesterday, I went to Alamanda to buy shampoo, facial wash & other daily stuff, I stumbled across TA's Megatron Leader class. The temptation starts there... ^^
Somehow I manage to hold off the temptation to buy it there and then.
But, I was already 'poisoned'.

Then, today... I was thinking, "hmmm, I still don't have any TA figures. Maybe I should get one soon..."
After class, I checked E-Toyz for their transformer's stock but TA's Megatron is sold out.
I visit Seibertron.com to see their Megatron's gallery.
"Hmm...tempting....Megatron looks good..."

In the end, I was defeated by the 'poison'... so I went to Alamanda to get my own TA's Leader Class Megatron.

So, here it is, the newest transformers figure to add to my collection.
